Question For You To Ask Employer
It is very important to ask the employer
questions during
the interview. The questions you ask the employer demonstrate to them
how
seriously you take the position and how well you understand the
requirements of
the position you are interviewing for. The questions you ask during the
job
interview also shows potential employers many other things such as;
what is
important to you, how well prepared you are for the job interview, how
much
research you have done of the company and the communication skills you
have.
Never leave a job interview without asking
at least three
questions to the potential employer. Below are some questions you
should ask
during the job interview. There are hundreds if not thousands of
questions you
could ask a potential employer during the job interview. This is just a
small
sample.
When
you think of someone that has done extremely well in this position and
has
exceeded expectations, what kind of qualities do they typically have?
Doing the job well is important
the company you are interviewing with. You should ask questions about
the
traits that are necessary for someone to be successful at the company.
Listen
carefully to the response you receive from the interviewer. If you have
the
skills or qualities that they are looking for, you can respond, “I was
praised
for having those skills and abilities, my organization skills where a
major
factor in my last promotion.”
If I
do well in this position, where could I see myself in the organization
in two
to three years?
When you are interviewing with a
potential employer they are not just considering you for the specific
job
opening but trying to assess your potential for promotion within the
company.
If you do not have the potential in the employer’s eyes you probably
will not
get the position.
What
is a typical work day/week like?
This is an important question to
ask because it shows you are interested in the reality of the job.
Asking this
question to the employer during the interview also shows that you are
not
clueless as to what that reality may be.
Why
did the previous person in this position leave?
This is an extremely important and
appropriate question. Just as the potential employer is probing your
background
to gauge your possibility for success, you should probe the positions
history
to help judge the possibility of success.
If the last
person in the job was
promoted within the company or in it for many years before leaving,
that is
great. If there is a long string of people at the position for a short
period
of time, that is something to be concerned about.
Why
do people like working at this organization?
This question gives the
interviewer the opportunity to praise the company. If the interviewer
is very
easily able to give multiple reasons why the company is a good
organization to
work for, that is a good sign. If it seems to take the interviewer some
effort
to answer that question that me be a sign that people don’t like
working there.
