Hybrid Resume Examples

A combination hybrid resume format is great if you have performed almost exactly the same duties at all the organizations that you have worked. Listing the same exact duties under each employer in a chronological resume format would be redundant. A hybrid resume can also be a good choice for career changers or someone changing industries. It allows you to focus on your skills that the employer will find valuable and not the companies you have worked for.

When writing a hybrid resume remember to:

Summarize your relevant skills up front, just like you do in a functional summary resume.

If your education is a strength you should place it at the beginning of the hybrid resume. If it is not a strength place it after your work history.

Remember to list your most recent employers first in your hybrid resume. Include only relevant duties to the position you are applying to.

I can not emphasize enough how great a hybrid resume is for career changers with a solid work history.

If you choose to include it, explain your main career goals or the type of job you wish to land, in one to three brief sentences. Otherwise, delete this section from the resume template.)
